I have deleted as many emails-in-progress as I have actually sent
messages today. I’m pretty much operating on the premise that any
instinctive response I have to any request will be taken the wrong
way. Everything is urgent, everyone is stressed, I’m just doing my
best to plow through without complicating matters further.
Let’s get it straight; for the most part I am...
My work week still isn't over
…in terms of shit I still have to do before Monday, but at least I’m at home now.
Against all urges to the contrary, I convinced myself to sweat out some rage on the rowing machine, and Nate had a martini waiting for me when I finished!
I may have taken said martini with me into the shower (it wasn’t a stemmed glass, I’m quasi-responsible) and it may have been the best...
Come watch me do some stand-up tonight... →

If you’re in Toronto, come see this: ‘The Girl With the Globe Tattoo’. Hosted by the hilarious Heidi Brander. It’s a fundraiser for Alex Brown, to raise money for homeless youth, but also to give him a trashy tattoo! (v important, if not, more-so)
Alex Brown has declared that if he can raise $3000 for homeless youth, he will get Dean McArthur’s name tattooed on his body (in...

Bar, College & Dovercourt, 9pm, proceeds to support homeless youth) -
but maybe not specifically to see me.
I’m out of practice because my brain truly hasn’t had room for other
things over the past few weeks, and in all honesty my...

Any location recommendations for Friday day-drinking? It’s rare for me
to have a Friday vacation day where I stay in town, but I do and I am
because my friend is visiting*, yay!
*this was not intended as a menstruation euphemism, but now that I
think about it, 2 friends are visiting…
Rowing Accountability Post: Week 6
Distance in week 6: 43km
Distance since week 1: 195km
I did what I planned to over the last week, which was especially good given the interruptions the previous weekend and likelihood of further interruptions this weekend.
At the very least, I managed to get through my 5km today, against all odds! By ‘all odds’ I mean ‘toe cramps in both feet’. I’m now eating a...
Today would be my 13th anniversary
…if I was one of those people who somehow parlays their first high
school relationship into something that succeeds through adulthood.
He was a lovely boy, but that was not in the cards for us.
It’s not that I have obsessively retained every detail of my teenage
affairs, but we started dating on the anniversary of the École
Polytechnique massacre, so that serves as my reminder...
